Changing the World, One Child at a Time

Bill Mrazek, CDT, was on vacation with his family in Mexico when the idea for a children’s book grabbed a hold of him. “Looking out at the resort pool, it hit me that here were all these people, from different countries, speaking different languages, young and old, and everyone was getting along, having a great time,” explains Bill, Fixed Department Manager and Head Ceramist at Racine Dental Group/Lighthouse Dental Laboratory, Racine, WI, who had thought about writing a children’s book for years. “And I thought ‘why can’t it be this way all the time? How do we make this happen?’”
Bill immediately began jotting down verses for what would become his first children’s book, WE: A Universal Children’s Book (and for those who read it to them), that teaches children about the acceptance of all people and cultures. In fact, he had most of the story written by the time he landed back home in Illinois.
