An Omnipresent Theme: Embracing Technological Change

LMT Editors have noticed a distinct theme conveyed by speakers at industry events this winter: the importance of staying current and embracing technological change. From Vision21 to Cal-Lab to LAB DAY Chicago, this message has come through loud and clear.


For example, during his presentation at the NADL’s Vision 21 meeting in January, Nicholas Webb, CEO of LeaderLogic, LLC, said, “The impact of emerging technical trends will not destroy dental labs, but will destroy labs that aren’t using technology. ‘Uncertainty’ is the #1 word we use to describe the future of dentistry. The only problem is it’s not true. It’s ‘complexity’ not ‘uncertainty,’ and the worst thing you can do is not lean into that complexity.”
