Riverwalk Park at Tarrytown
Scenic Hudson partnered with the village, county and developer Natural RE/sources to move an 80-year-old asphalt plant and turn this prime waterfront site into a public park offering magnificent views stretching to the Manhattan skyline. Features include a riverside esplanade, grass terraces and lawns, and an “eco-corridor” filled with native plants.

Rockefeller State Park Preserve
Rockefeller State Park Preserve offers quiet countryside walks of all lengths through forested hills and valleys surrounding sunlit pastoral fields. The property is the former Pocantico Hills and Rockwood Hall country estates of the John D. Rockefeller family and William Rockefeller.

Westchester RiverWalk
The Westchester RiverWalk is a planned 51.5-mile multi-faceted pathway paralleling the Hudson River in Westchester. When completed, it will link village centers, historic sites, parks and river access points via a connection of trails, esplanades and boardwalks. A work in progress, it’s being developed through a series of projects constructed by the county, local municipalities and other entities, including private developers.

Untermyer Gardens Conservancy
Be camera-ready when you make your way through the Untermyer Gardens, featuring 43 acres of gorgeous flowers, beautiful gardens and historically restored architecture. Visit its Rock and Stream Garden for a serene stroll, then head to the Temple of Love for some picturesque selfies. Its exquisite Walled Garden was influenced by the Persian gardens in India and features ancient architecture, “intended to mimic a paradise on earth.”

Croton Gorge Park
Known to be the first large masonry dam in the U.S., the Old Croton Dam was constructed in 1842 and was the model for other mid-nineteenth century water supplies. The Croton Gorge Park is a 97-acre property offering extraordinary views of the Croton Dam and waterfall. Locals enjoy this park for fishing, picnicking, hiking and trail walking.

Bear Mountain State Park
This park features a merry-go-round with hand-carved seats and hand-painted scenes of the park. Kykuit, The Rockefeller Estate
Kykuit was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. Now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this extraordinary landmark has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years.

The Lighthouse at Sleepy Hollow
Long a fixture on the Hudson River, the 1883 Lighthouse at Sleepy Hollow, formerly known as the Tarrytown Lighthouse or the Kingsland Point Lighthouse, is the only Caisson-style lighthouse on the river. Philipsburg Manor

Tarrytown Music Hall
Built in 1885 by chocolate magnate William Wallace, the Music Hall was designed by architects Theodore De Lemos and August Cordes who also built New York City’s Grand Central Palace and the Macy’s building at Herald Square. Today, the Music Hall is one of the busiest theaters in the country, offering the best in music, theater, dance, film, comedy, family programming and arts education. Listed on the National Register for Historic Places, the Music Hall is the oldest theater in Westchester.

Union Church of Pocantico Hills
A repository of awe-inspiring art, stained-glass windows by European masters, commissioned by the Rockefeller family, adorn this unassuming country church. Washington Irving’s Sunnyside
Washington Irving’s meticulously restored home is filled with the author’s possessions including his writing desk and books. Guides, costumed in formal dress of the period, explain how Irving designed the house and grounds himself to reflect his romantic views of art, nature and history. Originally a Dutch farmer’s house, it is now a property of the non-profit Historic Hudson Valley and open for tours. Seasonal events are also offered.

West Point Museum
