Since its 20th-century introduction in dentistry, zirconia's applications have grown, yet challenges persist due to its polycrystalline nature without silica for traditional bonding. Enhancing zirconia's bonding strength has been a crucial dental focus. Chien-Ming Kang discusses using ceramic primer and lithium disilicate coating to boost bonding strength, enabling successful application of thin zirconia veneers.
