SmartCrown is a restoration that is restorative as well as preventative. Due to the addition of RMGI (Resin Modified Glass Ionomer), it prevents the formation of caries in the interproximal areas of natural dentition. Vince Tauro, CDT, MDT, covers the properties and history of RMGI, the formation of tooth caries and marketing strategies, and outlines the program for laboratory participation.
