UBH Screw and Driver for Angled Screw Channel Restorations Soon Available in the U.S.

Universal Ball Head, sl (UBH), an associate company under Ball Head Group, sl, received a U.S. patent (#89785250) for its screw and driver for screw-retained prostheses with an angled screw access channel on March 23, 2015. The UBH screw and driver is licensed to and manufactured by Ibodontit, sl (IBO); its exclusive U.S. contracted reseller—Fusion Dental Implants (FDI)—is the only source in the U.S. for this patented product.
According to the manufacturer, the connection between the screw and driver is truly universal, with one driver for all implant screws. This connection can also be maintained at 30° due to the inverted geometrical design of the screw. This leading angulation capacity offers an easy solution when the transocclusal insertion axis is beyond the desired limits for an esthetic and functional oral restoration.
