Senate Passes CARES Act Relief Bill

The CARES Act, Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, developed in response to the coronavirus pandemic following the passage of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (H.R. 6201, now Public Law 116-127), has passed the Senate unanimously and contains many provisions which the NADL and its members have advocated for that could be of significant benefit to dental laboratories and dental technicians.
While the House is set to vote on the bill this Friday and it could still be amended, below are some key details of the bill. Once the bill is passed additional regulatory guidance from federal agencies such as the Department of Labor, Department of Treasury, and the Internal Revenue Service will help explain better how these provisions will be implemented. The NADL will continue to be a resource and will share available guidance.
