Don Albensi Earns Top Honors in Pittsburgh

Albensi Laboratories is named one of the 2013 Top Workplaces in Pittsburgh by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Based on employee surveys about the company's leadership, career opportunities and work flexibility, Albensi was ranked sixth among 50 small companies (those with 50-149 employees). As one employee put it, "The management team appreciates my work, and is very supportive and great to work for."

Based on the same survey, Don Albensi, Sr., CEO of Albensi Laboratories, was named the 2013 Top Boss for a small company. "I probably have as much enthusiasm today, if not more, than I did 34 years ago when we opened the lab," says Albensi, who has grown his staff from three employees to 95. "People call us a family-oriented business. I believe that's true and I treat my employees as if they were a part of my family."
