DAL Celebrates 80th Anniversary

In December, Dental Arts Laboratories, Inc. (DAL) celebrated 80 years of service to the dental industry.
Founded in 1934 by Adolph Knueppel, DAL now has 325 employees across 13 facilities in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Missouri. The lab has grown to offer a full range of services—including fixed, removable, implants and snoring/sleep appliances and bruxism/occlusal splints—and two years ago opened DT Technologies to provide subcontracting services and CAD/CAM equipment and materials.
Part of the laboratory’s success is due to its team of dedicated officers who have a long history with the company, including Terry Knueppel, Adolph’s son, who joined DAL in 1960 and recently became Chairman. Bruce Colgin, who was hired as a part-time delivery driver in 1975, later became President and was recently promoted to CEO.
