National Children's Oral Health Foundation
We believe every child deserves a healthy smile.
Severe tooth decay is the #1 chronic disease among children in the U.S. Millions of children are without access to dental education or services and face ongoing health consequences due to lack of oral health knowledge, untreated tooth decay, and other more intensive dental needs. As a result, children are suffering in pain, unable to eat, sleep or concentrate in school.
Our Mission: As a resource provider, we increase access to oral health care by supporting nonprofit clinics and community partners delivering education, prevention, and treatment services for underserved children.
We work to improve oral health outcomes for children by:
- Supporting the delivery of oral health education and care for children in need
- Preventing childhood tooth decay
- Equipping children, youth, parents, and caregivers with the education and care needed to develop positive oral hygiene habits
- Promoting youth engagement in dental careers and in raising awareness of the dental health needs of underserved children
- We support numerous nonprofit dental clinics through our Dental Resource Program with educational resources, financial grants, and product and equipment donations—ranging from toothbrushes to dental chairs—for clinics serving vulnerable children.
