Formeta Dental is seeking skilled dental technicians to trim, polish, and finish metal frameworks for 3D-printed removable partial dentures at our Houston, Texas facility. The ideal candidate will be an experienced finisher—detail-oriented, proficient with polishing tools, and competent in reading dental prescriptions. Collaboration with other team members to ensure high-quality results is essential.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities 1. Trim, polish, and finish metal frameworks for removable partial dentures using specialized dental tools and equipment 2. Remove excess metal and refine surfaces to ensure smooth, defect-free 3D-printed frameworks 3. Inspect and verify frameworks for proper fit and finish using articulators and precision tools 4. Collaborate with technicians to resolve fit or aesthetic issues and ensure products meet specifications 5. Read prescriptions and examine models/impressions to plan finishing steps (digital design experience is a plus) 6. Perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed

Qualifications

Key Skills & Qualifications 1. Proficient in using polishing machines, hand tools, and sandblasting equipment 2. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision work 3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical dental specifications 4. Knowledge of lab safety protocols, proper material handling, and metal finishing techniques 5. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across lab departments Education & Experience 1. High school diploma or GED required 2. Training or certification in dental technology or frame design is a plus 3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal frame polishing or a similar role preferred Work Environment 1. Fast-paced, hands-on dental lab manufacturing environment requiring standing, bending, and use of light hand/power tools 2. Consistent use of personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, goggles) 3. Specialized focus on metal partial frame polishing, fine-tuning, and seating of partial frameworks
