Hi everyone, I have been a Dental technician for 17 years and I am now contouring zirconia and running mills and I have done posterior design on 3shape. I am looking to further my career in Cad/cam and am looking for an opportunity to do that. I am willing to relocate. I would love to go south so if...[More]

Hello Bridgesters!
Here's another question for you... our full contour zirconia crowns have recently started looking less translucent than before and a little on the yellow side. We were debating the cause and have come up with two main ideas - either we're putting too many units in the sintering dish...[More]Chris Valdez

I have a doctor that uses the trios scanner. He wants to send a scan of the pre-op. I know its possible, I just don't know what he has to do on his end when logging in a case. Can someone please help?

Two new mills from Roland: DWX-51D and DWX-4W. Both new mills will be on display at the LMT Lab Day East show.

I'm considering purchasing a 3 shape scanner soon. I've been evaluating various workflows and was wondering how many different ways current users are putting the scans to work. Such as; anyone splitting the files for SLM copings or zirconia coping with milled or printed wax ups for press-to restorations?...[More]

Jimmy Stegall posted about Zirconia
Anyone have any advice on zirconia bridge frameworks "warping"? Hardly ever happens with frameworks with no curve, but seems to be more frequent with 4 unit and larger frames that curve (anterior). Individual units fit terrific internally and marginally, but 2-3 out of 10 times the frames will rock slightly....[More]

Question: Most efficient workflow for entering and scanning cases? We've talked to several folks who have a single technician that enters and scans using multiple 3Shape scanners at a rate of 3.5 minutes per. Just curious as to how that workflow looks...

Michelle Mathuews posted about inLab MC XL
I've noticed our Sirona InLab MCXL is starting to let off a foul odor. I wipe it down after it's been used, and try to keep the lid open when the chamber is still wet. Does anyone know of anything one can use to clean it that won't harm it, but will get that odor to go away? I also have a problem...[More]

We had Sirona in lab rap in our lab lest Wednesday. We loved what we heard but not sure if we would make right choice by just going w them or shopping other system. What we like the most is that we would be able to do all staps ourselves from reciving files (just from cerec-ussers since they are closed...[More]

Hello! It seems the holes where the water shoots out onto the burs of our inLab MC XL milling unit are clogged and make the water shoot off in other directions or not at all. Any suggestions on how I can clean these out? Also, suggestions on cleaning out the chamber in general? Thanks :)

We've ran thousands of full zirconia crowns through our in-house milling and sintering with very few failures... until recently. One of our main doctors has had 3 break in the last month, and we just heard from another doctor that 2 others just broke. Any thoughts?

Is there a website or directory to go to that compares all the open archetecture scanners (&milling machines if available) along with prices???
And what feedback does anyone have with open architecture scanners(besides the #1 3-shape)???? thanks!Kara Black
