Genistar is the North American distributor for Prodways, a 3D printer manufacturer and pioneer in additive manufacturing. At the core of Prodways' 3D printers is MOVINGLight®, a proprietary technology that employs a moving DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector head that emits high-intensity UV (ultraviolet) light a consistent energy density, resulting in ultra-high resolution, homogeneous curing, and fast build speeds, even for large builds. Unlike traditional DLP 3d printers where the projector is fixed (and typically mounted below the platform) and the light (UV or visible wavelength) spread over the entire platform, the Prodways printers cures the entire layer at a consistent resolution (40 microns native resolution) and at rates much faster. The printers don't discriminate-- each projectable image (which represents the entire layer or a portion of it) receives the same amount of pixels (1920 x 1080).

 The largest 3d printer can achieve more than half a billion pixels per layer. Prodways offers two classes of 3D DLP printers: the ProMakerL series and the ProMaker V series of which there is currently one model ( V6000) which can process highly viscous materials for the 3d printing of composite parts, particularly ceramic and metal

The printers, and its underlying technology, are designed around repeatability-- repeatable light diffusion (constant angle and constant distance from source to platform), repeatable curing (depth and surface area), repeatable resolution (same resolution density anywhere on the platform), all of which makes the printers suitable for  short- or long-run manufacturing  and at a cost per cubic-inch that is competitive with traditional (subtrative)  manufacturing standards.
