This course will cover the basic concepts of using e.max materials for the staining technique and the advanced esthetic layering technique. For the staining technique, participants will learn how to prepare the external surface properly before staining to maximize the esthetic result.  For the advanced esthetic layering technique, starting with full contour milled restorations, participants learn how much to cut back using a putty matrix technique.  This method enables the basic dentin form of each tooth to be individually controlled to reach just right amount of enamel translucency.  Internal staining techniques will be used to create internal effects and characteristics before porcelain build-up to create the maximum esthetic result. Specific topics covered will include:

    • Lost wax, processing of IPS e.max Press

    • CAD/CAM processing and crystallization of IPS e.max CAD

    • Ingot/block theory and selection criteria

    • Cutback and layering techniques to maximize esthetics

    • Creating natural contours and surface structures

    • Staining and glazing techniques

This course will give participants plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get the answers they need. Discover tips and tricks necessary to make your e.max simple.
