Advances in Digital Dentistry

Digital dentistry is changing the way general dentists, surgeons, and laboratory technicians plan treatment. This program will review recent advances in digital technology and the increasing importance of the partnership between the dentist and the lab. This program will include an overview of the CAD/CAM software that offers the technician a validated and external workflow, whereby the technician can send .STL files to the milling machine of choice for the material of choice. Additionally, we will review the work flow for using a Scanbody with a dental implant case to perform implant-level digital impression scans for customized or stock abutment restorations.
