Introduction to the ZenoTec mini Milling System

This course consists of three 1-day modules offering comprehensive training for the Zenotec® Milling System.
Module 1 - Scan/Design Training.
This module provides specific introductory training for the 3Shape scanners and design software. Training is one-on-one hands-on using the specific scanner that will be delivered to the customer, and as such the scanner set-up will be customized for each customer based on the specific scanner model and add-on modules purchased. The training consists of basic scanning techniques and functionality of scanner to gain a comfort with the technology. Course participants will practice scanning models and use design module functionality in order to gain experience with the CAD software. The design training includes a specialized process that takes the customer through all the steps at production speed. Specific topics to be covered include:
■Order creation and material selection
■Scanning procedures
■Types of designs
■Design procedures for full contour and framework restorations
Module 2 - Zenotec® Mini Training.
This module provides training on all CAM functions associated with the Zenotec® Mini System. Participants will learn the steps for installing and setting up their milling system upon returning to their laboratory. The hands-on portion of the course will cover the process for importing CAD data created during module 1 into the CAM software, milling the files and sintering the resulting zirconia restorations. Specific topics to be covered include:
■Detailed system installation procedures
■Understanding the CAM software
■Mechanical operation of the mill
■Disc changing
■Cleaning procedures
■Sintering zirconia restorations
■System troubleshooting
Module 3 - Ceramic Materials
This module provides detailed training on the use and understanding of ceramic materials to be used with the Zenostar® zirconia. During this hands-on training, participants will perform the steps for glazing full contour zirconia restorations as well as layering using IPS e.max® Ceram. Specific topics to be covered include:
■Shade selection
■Use of Zenostar® coloring Liquids
■Polishing techniques
■Staining and glazing full contour restorations
■Application and firing of layered ceramics
■Glazing layered restorations
■Cementation of all-ceramic crowns
