IPS e.max® Ceram Play Workshop featuring IPS Ivocolor® with Jessica Birrell, CDT

Ceramic layering powders are the art medium that create character and individuality for dental restorations. Learning how to master these powders is the key to highly aesthetic results that allow us to more closely mimic nature. With the IPS e.max system, knowledge of the e.max Ceram materials is critical to determine the final outcome of this unique material, lithium disilicate. This layering technique can also be applied to zirconia and several other types of materials.

Learn how to enhance translucency, maintain value and brightness and increase opalescence improving the natural light similar to that of a vital tooth with the IPS e.max Ceram material. During this two-day, hands-on course you have the opportunity to play with all of the IPS e.max Ceram powders including the Impulse powders, Essence powders, Stains, and the New Ivocolor system and Cream Selection kit. Learn how to create different effects as we fabricate three restorations and explore the variations in simplified layering to achieve all shades.

Restorations Fabricated:

  1. High value, bleach shade with youthful mamelons and surface texture
  2. A1/A2 shade for common translucency, surface texture and effects for productivity.
  3. Low value, 5M1/5M3 shade with amber effects, high translucency, and crack lines

This course demonstrates techniques for enhancing esthetics and improving predictability with ceramic applications for single centrals to smile design cases.
