Being in the same field as your spouse has its advantages. “It’s nice to be able to complain to Toni about work and she knows exactly what I’m talking about,” laughs Dan Toscano.
Both skilled technicians—Toni in removables and Dan in fixed, removables and implants—the couple inherited the contents of Dan’s uncle’s denture lab when he passed away in 2016. “Once we had his entire stock, it just seemed to make sense that we should open our own denture business,” says Dan.
Juggling their full-time positions and parenthood, the couple had purchased the additional items they needed to get started, and set up the lab in the basement of their Elizabeth, PA home. In 2018, they unofficially opened, only handling overflow denture work from their network of lab friends.
