“A digital denture and 3D printer,” says Bill Atkission, Owner at Bella Vita Dental Design, Arden, NC, echoing two items we heard from several readers. “We’ve come a long way just in the last 10 years. Now a crown and bridge guy can make a great denture by having a complete knowledge of the digital world and printing that denture for an outstanding fit.”
“Definitely a current 3D printer,” agrees Jerry Ragle. “35 years from now they will be much different. For example, I bought a printer at Lab Day in 2012 for almost $90,000 and sold it last year for $7,000; I was lucky to have gotten that!”
