Course Description
This entry-level course is designed to introduce dental professionals to the fundamentals of CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology. Participants will learn how to incorporate digital workflows to enhance productivity, offer new services, and improve patient care. (8 scientific CE credits available)
Course Objectives
- Increase patient acceptance and transform initial smile designs to confident, final restorations with DentalCAD’s photorealistic photo and video preview tools.
- Learn restorative design workflows using exocad’s tooth libraries and our new AI Design.
- Utilize tooth segmentation to streamline bite splint design.
- Digitize a denture reline/rebase quickly using the copy denture feature.
- Utilize dentalshare to collaborate with laboratories, design centers and manufacturing facilities.
- Discover the vast, seamless integrations with milling machines and 3D printers.
Agenda
Morning Session 9:00 – 12:00 – basic crown and bridge design, single crown design utilizing AI crown proposals, 3-unit bridge design, provisional restoration design, and simple bite splint design.
Afternoon Session 1:00 – 5:00 – Smile designs with the Smile Creator including Trusmile™ Photo and Video, duplicate denture using 360-degree scan and dentalshare.
