Ruth Bourke, CDT, earned certificates in Dental Technology and Advanced Prosthodontics from the City & Guilds of London Institute in the 1970s. She took her first technician position at Guy's Hospital and later became a senior technician and instructor at both the Eastman Postgraduate Dental Institute and the Royal London Hospital Medical College.
Ruth Bourke has over 35 years’ technician experience. She worked at several hospitals and universities when living in England and, after moving to the U.S. in 1996, worked as a Prosthetic and Oral Maxillofacial Technician at the University of Washington Dental School where she continues to be an affiliate faculty member of the Department of Restorative Dentistry. In 2004, Bourke started her own lab in Redmond, WA, has worked with Dr. John Kois at the Kois Center in Seattle, WA, and Dr. John Besford of London, and provided consultation for Davis Schottlander and Davis UK in the development of the Color Tones for the Enigma Denture System.
