Bill Wiechert, Manager of the Cast Partial Frames Department at Tetra Dynamics, Inc. in West Babylon, New York (full-service laboratory) has a family history in the industry that spans generations--over...See more 100 years! Bill Wiecherts' grandfather, George, was a pioneer in producing materials for use in fabrication of cast frameworks. He invented duplicating materials incorporating "agar" derived from seaweed, which was patented and used during World War I to produce artificial limbs. George Wiechert is pictured here in this photo (middle row, left side) taken during his lunch break where he worked his first job at Stowe & Eddy Laboratory in Boston, MA. George Wiechert later went on to build his own successful cast partials business.
