I began working in a Massachusetts crown and bridge lab in 1978 at the age of 15.My duties included model and die fabrication wax and cast and metal finish.After graduating high school in 1980 I moved to Vermont and went to work in a full service lab in Rutland Vt. I recieved training for full and partial dentures from retired Navy and U.Conn. instructor Harvey Bacon,who claimed to be the first CDTin the US,and co-wrote the original Air Force manual,which had his hands in the photographs.I also worked part-time as an in-house orthodontic technician.After Harvey Bacons death in 1985 I opened Booth Dental Lab Inc.offering full lab services.I took the exams and became certified in removable prosthetics in 1994.I invented and patented a denture retention system in1995and lectured and taught the technique to licensed labs across the US and Canada.Iam a licensed dental assistant in a local dental practice and work directly with denture patients.I continue to own and operate a full service dental laboratory in Bethel, Vt. I continually attend cotinuing education courses including The Pankey Institute,Vident, Jensen,Dentsply etc.
