Scanner S600 ARTI by Zirkonzahn - one scanner for all articulator types

Digital Fabrication

The fully automated, S600 ARTI optical structured-light scanner by Zirkonzahn has twin cameras that are adaptable to all articulator types, a beltless precision mechanism, a 360° rotational and a 100° tilting axis. The extra-large measuring field allows scanning of a large variety of objects from individual dies to mushbites to full arch models. In combination with the Zirkonzahn.Scan scanning software, dental technicians can register their own laboratory’s articulator into the scanner to measure its axes. This procedure is required to display the actual situation with respect to the facial arch in the articulator via a 3D coordinate software system. Practically every point of the scanned object can be recorded digitally by the scanner with a precision of less than ten microns. This way, even undercuts can be measured very easily. The speed leaves nothing to be desired, too – two high-speed cameras and a new projector allow even faster scanning than before. The mock-ups can be fixed with split-cast systems or a universal mock-up support. At the end of the scanning process, the data can be exported in the open STL format. The Scanner S600 ARTI is built on a modular basis, a feature typical of all Zirkonzahn equipment, and it is easy to retrofit and integrate it subsequently with all of its accessory components (e.g. complete scan head) to ensure maximum safety for the client also in the future. It is the perfect introduction into the digital world of dental prostheses, also without a milling unit. For more information visit: www.zirkonzahn.com
