Step 1 I poured the model and mounted the case on a Panadent articulator. I waxed over a gold cylinder and cast two UCLA abutments in yellow gold. I then placed the abutments on the model and scanned it using Zubler USA’s Vario scanner to create the CAD implant model in exocad software.
I was reading over some old Bridge posts and saw one about BioEsthetics and Neuromuscular occlusion. It got me thinking about how many schools of thought there have been in my 30 years in business. I wish I had a nickel for every time one of my customers took a weekend course and wanted me to buy an expensive new adjustable articulator, only to be used a handful of times and then shelved. At last count we had over 100 adjustable articulators, but it seems only the SAM, Denar, Panadent and Stratos are really used consistently any more. Most of the rest sit up on these high shelves where only I can reach them . . . How many unused articulators do you have, and do you make your customers buy them?
