Chris Halke, CAD/CAM Supervisor, sets up a BruxZir® mill job. When the lab moved into its new facility, almost tripling its space, it purchased two new BruxZir mills. It now has three BruxZir milling systems, two Roland DWX-50 milling systems and a Sirona inLab MC XL unit, Roland JWX-10 wax mill, EnvisionTec 3Dent printer, EnvisionTec P4 printer, an Objet Eden 350 printer, three 3Shape D700 scanners and two 3Shape D800 scanners. “Unlike our old facility, the mills and printers are now in separate rooms,” says Albensi. “Now this area has a better workflow and structure to it, so it seems much bigger than before.”
Jamie Stover, CDT, Ziemek Laboratories, Olympia, WA, checks in with Glidewell Laboratories' Robin Bartolo, Monica Villasenor and Razi Setoodegan. Ziemek Laboratories is a current BruxZir customer and, according to Setoodegan, "has become part of the Glidewell family."
This is one efficient scanning station. We have the station set up for scanning all the BruxZir and emax cases. With the 3Shape scanner and the IOS hand-held operating side by side, this station easily scans 130-150 cases per day. Now THAT"S production!
Are you a PHONY? When you receive a case for a product like BruxZir or Lava do you substitute other materials and tell your client, "it's the same as.." or not say anything at all? Do you know someone who cats Bio2000 or gold plates to make a crown look like genuine Captek? Fake products do more damage than you think. Using counterfeit materials amounts to stealing. The materials used to substitute are often cheaply made under substandard conditions and will not give the same results as the original product despite what you think. In the case of BruxZir for example, you may be illegally using an FDA controlled material in an off label manner. When these counterfeit products fail, or do not perform as advertised, it's the legitimate company who suffers. Don't be a phony, and don't be a thief. Use only the materials requested by your customer.
It surprises me, but we get more and more requests for anterior Bruxzir bridges.
Glidewell’s educational videos cover impression and preparation techniques, implants and more. When the lab launched its BruxZir product in 2009, it mailed DVDs to 125,000 doctors.
