• Is a CDT better than a Non-Certified Technician?

OK. I have another topic to explore. I hope I don't open up a can of worms along the way. I think there is something else that can be done help the dental lab industry. This is to address the dental lab techs. Again, maybe it is already being done...but I am not aware of it. I am not for more laws...

  • Mark Jackson, RDT Should the NBC develop CAD CAM CDT?

The problem as I see it Laura, is that the information is almost obsolete as soon as it's finished. I don't think CAD CAM should be a specialty unto itself, but rather a method by which a technician like myself could take the C&B practical for example.

  • Carla Miller Should the NBC develop CAD CAM CDT?

I, personally, would love it. Logistically, it does kind of seem like a nightmare, though. I started out as a waxer, but after a few years in the industry I developed problems with my hands that was threatening to end my career in the field. I was very fortunate to be able to transition into CAD/CAM...
