OUTSIDE SALES: I'd be interested in hearing experiences of labs who have had sustained, profitable success by hiring a full-time outside sales rep to build their business. From my vantage point, by the time you pay commissions, make price concessions to win the new business, and pay the sales rep enough so they don't take their relationships elsewhere, it makes no sense for labs who gross less than $10M per year. Thoughts?
