In the Scrapbook of the Century in LMT's November/December 1999 issue, Fred Howard shared this photo...See more of the third annual Durallium Get-Together in February 1941 in Chicago. Note that his wife is the only woman in the photograph. Following the meeting, the Durallium bulletin printed, "It was really wonderful to have the presence of this young lady...and she has the distinction and the honor of being the first and only member of her sex to grace our festivities. Fred Howard is certainly lucky to have this wonderful partner both in business and in life and from the manner in which she took everything in at the convention and at the MidWinter clinic, she is most certainly all business."
