Press Technology provides accurately fitting and predictable all-ceramic restorations for a variety of indications. Designed specifically for press technology, IPS e.max Press is an innovative lithium disilicate glass ceramic ingot that provides advantages in both strength and esthetics. Designed to provide training in the fabrication of IPS e.max Press implant abutments and restorations, the focus of this one-and-a-half day course will be technique and function requirements for pressing lithium disilicate for subsequent bonding to a prefabricated titanium base. Bonding procedures for the various components will also be discussed. The hands-on component of the course will include fabrication of an anterior implant abutment and a posterior hybrid abutment/crown. The final glazing and characterization of the hybrid abutment/crown will be performed using a variety of IPS e.max Ceram materials.
