Dental lab techs seldom, if ever get to experience first-hand appreciation from the patients they serve. But CDA Cares events change that by affording them the opportunity to be part of a life changing experience, providing smiles and hearing the appreciation from both patients and clinicians for a job well done.
Your participation WILL make the difference in the number of dentures, stayplates and repairs we will be able to provide. Dedicated, caring, talented dental lab techs are a vital part of the success of this event.
Technicians can choose to work one shift, one day or the entire weekend. We have 75 individual shifts to fill for the April 25th and 26th event. Technicians can choose to work one shift or any entire day (two shifts). THE NUMBER OF PATIENTS WE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE AND SMILES CREATED RESTS SOLEY ON THE NUMBER OF TECHNICIANS WHO VOLUNTEER.
Fabrication materials are furnished by CDA Cares Foundation. Technicians are asked to bring their own instruments, if they wish.
For more information: Please contact Carol Pilmer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 858-259-2436.
CDA Cares will provide dental services at no charge to patients who experience barriers to care including the uninsured, underinsured, unemployed and others in need. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
The main goal of CDA Cares is to relieve pain and infection. With the help of community volunteers, dental professionals will donate their time and skills to offer cleanings, fillings, extractions, oral health education and assistance in finding a dental home.
About CDA Cares CDA Cares is a collaborative effort among the California Dental Association (CDA), the CDA Foundation and the national charitable organization America's Dentists Care Foundation. CDA Cares is a new event aimed at providing free dental care to Californians in need.
