The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's 27th Annual Scientific Session, themed, "The Rise of Collaboration," will provide an opportunity for dental teams to develop and refine their skills together so they can provide their patients with the best oral health care.
To foster this collaboration, the AACD is offering first-time lab tech attendees a special registration fee of only $625. Returning member lab techs are $1,595.
The conference, May 18-21, 2011, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, will feature more than 48 hands-on workshops, 85 lectures, and 90 speakers. The event is geared toward dentists, lab technicians, hygienists and dental team members to help them achieve success through collaboration while learning from the cosmetic dentistry profession's greatest educators.
"Boston will be an amazing meeting," said AACD President Hugh Flax, DDS, "because we truly focus on how the best restorative dentists--as well as specialists and ceramists--collaborate to create masterful results in very challenging and simple situations."
Willi Geller, MDT, is one of the session's featured educators. Geller, who is called the father of modern dental ceramics, founded the International Foundation of Oral Design. He maintains a private laboratory in Switzerland. He is scheduled to present, "Additional Veneers as the Spirit of Time" with Dr. Giuseppe Allais, on Saturday, May 21.
